Depression finds us all I guess.

Most days;

I tire,

I weep because I’m simply not there yet.

What have I done?

What have I become?

& who will love me,
When I’ve only got so much time left?

Depression finds us all I guess..

Depression feels a lot like death.

I don’t know how it all ends;
But sometimes it feels like it’s ending now.

Somehow in this abyss I was granted life & zeal without the courage to live it out.

My fire is always dwindling,
My source of life hard to find.

I found it once;
I had peace for a moment.

Then it slipped from my hands.

Shattered like glass.

It breaks me,
And cuts deep.

Compels me to believe,
I am less than what you see.

How I wish;
I could love me.

The way you do.

How I wish;
It wasn’t all bleeding,
Scars and pain.

How I wish;
My refuge wasn’t found in the rain.

I don’t know how it all ends,
But sometimes I feel like it’s ending now.

Life source,
I gave up my life source for you.

Everything I knew.
I gave it up to you.

Now;
I’m in this drought.

Not quite sure how to get out.

Because; YOU hold what once nourished me.

Gave me home,
And, L I F E.

Life source,
I gave it up, gave it away, gave I all to you.

Sometimes I wish
To scream at the top of my lungs;
That this is not fair!

Life is not fair!

But if I did,
If let out the loudest scream.

Would you hear?
Would you care.

Would you understand grace is a well rounded person,

We all seek?

Would you see He is not just your need.

But the need of everyone else here too.

Death sharpens it’s knife;
Threatening to take away life.
Forgetting that I’ve got a heart inside.

An unyielding will to survive.
Even in the moments
I would rather not speak.

As death steals my breath,
My words,
My thoughts
& my actions.

I can only;
F I G H T.

With this heart beat I have inside.

For it is my will;
My will to be alive.

You can not sum up time spent;
Nor life lived.

One may never know what it was like to delight,
In the world from your eyes.

How fortunate are you;
To do the things you do.

This crazy beautiful gift;
In every heart beat,
In every breath you breathe.

From life,
To death.

Only YOU can experience;
What has been given to YOU.

BE KIND

Fear is deafening;
He steals your breath away.
Not in the good way,
But; in the way
You have long forgotten you could lose it.

He makes everything numb,
And; tells you there is no song to be sung.

Before you were 25,
You found every pocket of light;
You believed would satisfy.

You became lost in your treasures,
Deathly, earthly pleasures.

You forgot what it’s like to live,
You forgot what it’s like to give,

To be a distributor of the light.

You sought,
A life of love and security.
Only to find the dust,
Still at your feet.

So now you roam,
Bear foot and all.
Now task to big,
No task to small.

A heart free to wander,
And you wonder why you are here;
But, lean in, listen in, take in every detail.

Because before you know it,
This current moment;
Even it will disappear.

We are a world
Full of cynics and saints;
All out here,
Just trying to find our way.

At a gala under the stars,
He marveled more at her heart.

Greater than the universe that surrounded them;
Was the universe inside of them.

Genuine admiration of one another formed a precious bond.

And in that instant,
They learned to sing one another’s song.

How can you say;
It’s just another day?

Everything could change.
The old could pass away.

How can you say;
It’s just another day?

Life has opened it’s eyes.
Life has started to dream.

Life has started to die.

How can you say;
It’s just another day?

Have you given it no chance?
No second glance.

Do you not see it’s heartbeat.
It’s lungs.

It’s zeal for life,
And the songs yet to be sung.

Do you not see;
It is passing.

It’s going fast;
And the things we thought would last forever are not lasting?

They said to live each day like it was your last.
To give it your all.

How can each day given;
Be “ Just another.”

It is life.
It is death.
It is love,
It is breath....

Desolate;
And deserted.

Empty and left alone.

Vacant;
Not complacent.

Restlessly,
Searching for home.

For no reason.

You are meaningful.

Each person a treasure.

The parts of me;
The heart of me,
That occasionally holds a vacancy.

Was blinded,
Misguided
And lost.

What a fortune it was,
To be lost.
What a gift it was to break.

To learn,
To live in;
All it took from me.

To swim naively,
In the sea of the unknown.

Only to encounter home.

You’ll believe;
What they tell you.

You’ll believe;
That it’s true.

Blind and willing,
Just to be fed.

You’ll take anything they give you;
Because you are afraid of the dead.

You’ll believe what they tell you;
You’ll believe that it’s true.

Prideful, and unwilling.

You will never desire to be labeled the fool.

You’ll believe what they tell you;
You will believe that it’s true.

Nothing is certain;

Each day has the tendency to be the same.

But, today was a painting,
The skies like a cathedral.

For a moment,
I smiled.

I held tight to the depth of it all.

Nothing is certain,
But as I made time to stop,
Slow down and humbly admire the beauty that didn’t have to show up today; yet, graciously chose to reveal itself to me.

I hold close to me,
The things I can’t see,
The things that are certain.

When I admire such a masterpiece.

But you;

You are like wildfires,
You are like the stars.

A universe inside,
Of a living, beating heart.

A breath of fresh air,
And a sign of hope.

You are a novel within novels.
Unique and your own.

Yet you carry an incredible ability within you,
To be someone else’s home.

Full of bittersweet

Blooming flowers,

It took every seasons,

Joy and pain.

To get us here.

The flower didn’t arrive;

It can not arrive,

Without the snow,

Without the rain.

As he looks up,
Captivated by the stars.

He see’s the same essence of light in them;
He sees in her heart.

A million light years away is the light in the sky;
Yet, he holds an even greater light close to him tonight,
As she stands by his side.

She wore a veil,
It was not easy
For those who passed her by
To see her beauty.

Deep within her eyes,
You could tell;
She had been nourished and loved by the source of life itself.

She wore a veil,
But only in time spent with her

Would you uncover the beauty,
That goes deeper,
Than the novels you will find written in her eyes.
