To the guy who has become stardust

Hey,
2016 is the year when I missed you the most among all the years we became separated by dimensions. Why?  People said, "your heart is not true. It is divided. It could never forget him." Well, no, that is not the reason. The reason is a bit weird. I understood things you used to say all those 8 years back. I wonder, was you that older than me mentally? Maybe, you were , after all I used to find you so stupid back then. And, if you hadn't left me and this world I would probably never had realised how important you were to me, what you were to me.

Remember the happy times? The tennis racket fight and the cycling race? Well I do. I always wanted to su...

Dear Fan,

I look forward to the NBA All Star game as much as I look forward to the Super Bowl.

This is a great time of year for profesional sports.

Game on!

I don't care about the Super Bowl because the last time I cared about a big sporting event, Voldemort returned and Cedric Diggory died.

Dear Drew,

I think lettrs has brought the potential of social messaging to a higher and more amazing standard.

It's a slam dunk!  Love the signature stuff too.  It will be a rocket across the NBA.

Go for it,

@Patriots,
4 days until the Big Game! The drive for 5 is almost upon us and as a Patriot fan, I can't be more excited.

Consistency is what sets the Pats a part from every other team. From the coaching staff to the players, everybody on the team is unselfish, and hard working which is why you're so successful.

Fans across the country want to see you lose, yet almost every team tries to emulate "the New England way."

Just one more game!

Let's Go!!!!!

Luckiest Man on the Court

One of the best parts of playing in the NBA is seeing the faces of young people after the game.  You go hard, compete, sweat, win and lose.  You take a hard foul and sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce the right way.  The game is always a contact sport, mentally and physically.

But no matter what city I play in, no matter the outcome, when I see a young kid reaching to give me a high five, I realize I am the luckiest man on the court that night.  The NBA, there is nothing like it and I am lucky to be a part of it.

Russell Westbrook,

As the first half of the season is coming to a close, you are performing on another level.

Pretty insane that you were snubbed from a starting spot in the upcoming All-Star game. If I am other players and team, I'd be even more afraid of the drive you will have now on the second half of the season to lead your team to a championship run.

Watch out NBA, Russell is coming for you.

Dear Claudio Suárez S.,

Welcome to Lettrs and thank you for adding me as a PenPal.

I'm still new to the sport, about seven years and not very good with names.

However, I know you're known as El Emperador. Which is a pretty cool nickname.

I discovered my love of soccer  when I visited England for two years.
The friends I made in England are huge fans.  They showed me videos of why they believe soccer was better than US Football.
It was all in good fun...

I hope you enjoy your time here on Lettrs.

Have a great day &
Take Care,

Cara

Dear World,

Stop debating about whether Messi or Ronaldo is the best player in the world.

Stop trashing them.
Stop making small talks about bad games they are sometime  have.

Just sit back and wonder. Feast your eyes.
They are the greatest we will ever see.
Enjoy magic.

Dear Jordan Clarkson ,

Happy New Year Jordan! Great to see you a part of a hard-working and fun team in the Los Angeles Lakers. You have so much enthusiasm and it shows on the floor.

I have a few questions. First, what things do you do to keep in top condition during the course of a long NBA season? And is hydration a must? Also, will you continue to wear the arm sleeve in games? I noticed you wearing it on New Year's Day vs Toronto.

Speaking of Toronto, thank you for attending the meet and greet at Max's Restaurant back in August 2014. Thank you for the photo and autograph. Big fan of yours since your days at Missouri.

Thank you so much and good luck the rest of this season. God Bless.

HAPPY 2017!

Dear Andrew Wiggins,

Happy New Year Andrew! Hope things are going well. I'm wishing you all the best for this upcoming year. Another year of developing as a basketball player on and off the court for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Thank you for liking and posting my letter to you on your public fridge. I have a few questions. What age did you first play basketball and will you be wearing the arm sleeve in games again? You wore the arm sleeve in games from late November to mid December.

Thank you so much and may God Bless you for good health and prosperity. I'll make sure to vote for you as an all-star.

Best wishes from Toronto, Canada,

Michael Torres

Malcolm Butler,

Ever since Super Bowl XLIX, you've grown to elite status. As a long time fan of the Patriots, it's been amazing to see you grow into one of the top corner backs in the league.

Have #onemore test in front of you in matching up with Julio.

Looking forward to a great game with positive outcome. Bring it home to New England!

Dear Jordan,

You're pretty well known and I was wondering, for all the blessings of excelling in your sport (and the fame, I'm guessing) what's the worse part?
Do you get to do what you want?

I was curious about the sacrifices one may have to make to become a star like yourself.
Is there a downside to sports?

Take Care
and Thank You
for your time,

Cara

It occured to me that in 2016 I experienced a summer of baseball like no other.

Think about the championships I either witnessed in person or even was more fortunate to broadcast.

The College World Series win by a collaboration of grinders from Coastal Carolina Who played their heart out and laid it all on the line for life-time Coach Gary Gillmore. A man cut straight out of a walter Mathau bad news bears persona.

A little league world series championship win by kids from a tiny town in  upstate new York known More for its Spiedies than its baseball. Look up Spiedies, they are hard to explain. A true inspiration to the Little engine that could accomplish anything including a summer in whic...
