There are three people standing on the top of a mountain. This mountain overlooks humanity and its entirety. They can see time pass, from the cavemen to the astronauts that went to the moon, to the scientist today curing cancer. One of them looks up at the sky and says: "Breathtaking." The only girl of the three tilts her head up too and sighs lightly. She closes her eyes and searches blindly for a hand of the second man. Their hands intertwine and she guides his body closer to her. Finally the last one of the trio aims his eyes at the sky too. There they are, three people, on the top of a mountain, having the possibility to see humanity and its entirety, yet choosing to look at the sky. They...
It was New Year's eve and it felt sad.
He wasn't going out tonight. His friends would drink themselves senseless. He had no problem with that of course, on the contrary he loved to see his friends do that - they would get high and start acting funny. But he would not go tonight.
Was it the girl he was texting hadn't replied yet? Could be, but he dismissed it. He never cried at the farewell when all his classmates had cried their hearts out forming little salty pools. Neither had he felt anything when his grandpa passed away or his girlfriend broke up with him. He was never attached to people, he blamed his brains for that. Emotionless, he called himself. He hated all those mushy things...
WEEKLY WRITING TOPIC | 2015 PO BOX GIVEAWAY
Before we round out 2015 with a writing contest, let's recognize all the writers that wrote towards last week's writing topic "Passions." Kristen Y (PO# 224734) is the editorial pick for best letter of the topic. Her ode to curiosity is a must read.
Starting today, we are going to run a two week long contest to end 2015 with the grand prize of PO# 2015 to the letter with the most engagements (likes, comments, views) and we encourage you to tweet and share your letters with FB friends. Last year's winner of PO# 2014 (Gypsy Tea) inspired us all for the year to come.
Here goes the prompt,
There are three people standing on top of a mountain...
Lettrs is like Soup in a bowl
Warming and nourishing to the soul
A gathering of creativity is the goal
Bringing people together
Making friendships forever
Joining nations and making them whole
Hi there, 2015. You're close to home now. Bring vodka.
I will not make a list of goals. I will not make plans. I will not wait that dreams come true magically. That would be the simple and unrealistic way.
2014, you were awful and one of the most difficult years I've lived. And trust me, I've had horrible ones.
Still, as if you were giving me a push to continue, you also opened the door to know myself even more, to move forward and to find wonderful people in that road. Those people are with me today (in different ways), watching you finally go.
But I'm done with goals lists.
Instead, I propose myself to let the new year surprise me.
My goal will not be one thing. The goal is to...
A whole year lies ahead
and a bunch of promises made to myself
A blank spherical mind
with many scattered words
with the tangent that fear makes
unfulfilled expectations, guilt and doubts
Yet amidst these
there's a powerful shinning line
that cuts across them all.
The year of 2015 👍👍👍👌🏾🙏🏿✌🏼👀

When one ponders the miracle of family it gives majesty to even the smallest activities in life.
Sons and daughters bring light that lingers into the heart for years to come. Christmas thanks,
THE YEAR OF 2015
The year of 2015 saw many developments in the lettrs company so here are a few highlights:
1. There were over 3 Billion network impressions on profiles, letters and stamps.
2. lettrs produced its own movie, "Love Her," with Weaver Films about a modern day love story around the power of words.
3. lettrs reached the #1 letter writing app status in the world, with a new IBM Watson integration to bring you "audio letters" to for easy listening. National Geographic will also be publishing a first ever "Book of Letters" as a highlight from the mobile medium of note.
4. Over 8,000 letters were generated a...
So deep, unimaginably so
So lost, undesirably so
So given, relentlessly so
So misunderstood, knowledgeably so
So far, unbelievably so.
I am so...
Beyond life, beyond death
I walk so...
No one can trace my path
I speak so...
With no words, no language
I fly so...
No wings, no clouds
I see so...
No eyes, visibly invisible
I cry so...
No tear, just the voice within.
I have crossed the line,
No more boundaries,
No more frontiers,
Deeper than my mind can judge,
I am unreachable.

We never notice it, do we? Surrounded and fooled by such people every time...
We look at those neatly pressed and buttoned down shirts, their confident eyes, deceptive postures, soft hands and we assume their personality is as dignified as their looks are.
What we don't notice is their instincts. Nothing in this terribly transient time ruled world is permanent. People change. People change all the time. For better or worse, depends on their instincts.
You see, people's characters change, but their instincts don't. Like to believe it or not, there are alw...

A person who believes in us even when the whole world is against us is enough for us to succeed in life😊
Perhaps the greatest discovery of a man lies in knowing himself....
When you take a moment to look outside the window, you see people milling about in the streets, going about their businesses; oblivious.
When you take a moment to look at some old pictures, you see faces smiling at the camera, posing a happy memory for decades to come; blissful.
When you take a moment to reflect upon your own life, you see things going haywire, like pieces of jigsaw puzzle spread beyond your own reach; benighted.
So when you look at another 'intimidating' person, why do you choose to let your mind fool you into believing they are any different? When you look at another person, you should actually see a ...
some people grow up together,
they do not grow old together
As 2015 comes to a close, I can't help but think of all the time I have spent, doing various things. Since I began my journey in letters at the beginning of 2015, I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful souls and connect with so many amazing people. Everyone in this community exemplifies humanity, courage and such beauty. Thank you for allowing me passage into your thoughts, your heart and even your life, by sharing the power in your words. I've read love stories and broken heart stories. I've read political thoughts and thoughts about God. I've read things here that have made me laugh and even a few thoughts that have made me cry, for that it's been a bless...
