Dear Miss,
Been a while since I wrote a letter to you, isn't it? The pause, though, was deliberate as I felt the letters were becoming more of a habit than something which was supposed to be cherished for times ahead. Either way, I felt great while writing these letters for you but I will make sure these come in decent intervals instead of a daily habit so that we could both cherish them with equal gusto.

Dear Miss,
Today's weather was beautiful here and I know the place you are currently has a weather which will shame our's to death...so I am not going to boast much!
But the weather set my mind off to an all new rhythm...

~~Rains are not new~~

Rains are not new,
But today on a fresh leaf, they felt like dew.

Everything was squeeky clean,
Wrapping each soul in a divine sheen.

Smiles were real, not fake,
Wondered what point was destiny trying to make.

Like a new canvas, the skies were white,
As if asking me to paint a story with all my might.

With my mood hitting a new low,
Maybe re-writing this story might make myself glow?

Cars smashed the puddles of rain,
Hinting how I can smash the ...

Dear Miss,

I didn't write any fancy set of lyrics or a philosophical story for you today. It was not that I didn't wanted to but it was more important to say something else today.

Sorry. For behaving a tad weird in the past few weeks! It were just the mood swings of a Piscean trying to adjust to someone's absence.

Thank you. For being ignorant of my awkward behaviour all this while. Had you not ignored me I would not have learnt how to overcome these pathetic mood swings. I would not say I am a pro at handling these mood swings now but I am learning fast.

Awesome days coming up for you! And no I am not stalking you ;) It is just that I don't forget somethings related to someone...ever.

Dear ,
Another small attempt in making you smile...
~~The Girl with Wavy Hair~~

Look I met a Girl with Wavy hair,
Who pretends as if she doesn't care.
But then a gust of wind came bare,
And her Wavy hair were here, there and everywhere.

Look I met a Girl with Wavy hair,
Aqua she secretly wishes to paint her hair.
Then thinking about her relatives' stare,
She secretly cries in despair.

Look I met a Girl with Wavy hair,
She let me play with oh those lovely hair.
Made sure I caressed them with care,
Oh Girl! Your Wavy hair.

Look I met a Girl with Wavy hair,
Cut she will soon her Wavy hair.
Wish there was a chance I cry in despair,
To play again with your lovely Wavy hair!

Dear Miss,
Here's a sweet nothing on "Our conversations".

Tough to begin with were our conversations,
Oh Girl! Our conversations.

Began one late evening, our conversations,
Oh Girl! Our conversations.

Hesitations died slowly in our conversations,
Oh Girl! Our conversations.

Good-Bad - we shared all in our conversations,
Oh Girl! Our conversations.

Dreamt open-eyed! Those late-night conversations,
Oh Girl! Our conversations.

Songs, videos, letters - we shared all in our conversations,
Oh Girl! Our conversations.

"Do you like bread?" - a signal of quiteness of our conversations,

Dear Miss's Mother,
For a change, today's letter is not meant for your daughter, after all you are visiting her in a town way different from your own. This letter is for you...the woman responsible for bringing my Miss in this world and for upbringing her in a  manner which is second to none. This letter is for the woman who instilled values, both traditional and practical, in her which is chiefly responsible for making my Miss what she is today and what she will be in the times to come. I am known for my harsh criticism so whenever I praise anyone, believe me, it is genuine. In the 2.5 months I have been close to your daughter, I have seen a girl mature beyond her age but who is still keepin...

Dear Miss,
You told me that you really don't want me to write those philosophical letters as you barely read them! Your wish is my command, Ananya. Though I can't write poetry/prose but atleast I can give it a shot (pardon me for the amateurish attempt!). And don't worry, these won't be philosophical at all! :)

Dear Miss,
As I write this letter, you are probably nesting close to the mountains in the lap of Mother Nature, far away from the humdrum of a city life. Today's story is set in a similar surrounding...

Sumita was a 15 yr-old girl who loved the mountains more than the world beneath them. But the irony was that she didn't know how to climb peaks and the fact she was a girl made the task even more difficult as her family lambasted her for loving something which is 'not meant for girls'. She, however, was rebellious by birth and decided to sneak away one fine day in the quest of conquering one of the low-lying peaks.

She was single-handedly driven by the fantasy stories which mentioned of the...

Dear Miss,
One day in the misty coastal forests of an Indian state were 2 tortoises engaged in a conversation.
Tortoise 1: Hey, look over there! A rabbit!
Tortoise 2: Yeah. So?
T1: Aren't you amazed by his agility?
T2: LOL! Our ancestors once defeated them in a race. You forgot our glorious past?
T1: No, I haven't. But it is wrong to live on past laurels.
T2: Oh Come on, dude! We are way better than rabbits and our speed is still our strength.
T1: And how is that possible, Mr?
T2: See, rabbit is a fast mover - no doubt and can easily cover this coastal stretch in few seconds. Something which we will take hours to accomplish. But see, what he is losing out on in his quest for a speedy life - h...

Dear Miss,
Mark and Samantha once set foot on a sail boat during their holiday in Sweden. The caretaker of the boat asked if they need any assistance for their sail but mark refused to take any help.
Samantha: Why did you refuse his help, mark? You don't even know how to climb the boat properly forget guiding it midwaters!
Mark: You trust me?
Samantha: Yes, more than I do on myself.
Mark: Then let's go without further ado.
They both got onto their boat as the caretaker released it from the shackles. The wind was gentle so Mark had no issues in maneovouring the sails. As the boat went on smoothly with the wind singing through the sails, Samantha fell asleep in Mark's lap. Mark kept one of his...

Dear Miss,

One fine evening a couple went out for coffee. Then, at the cafe...

Boy: Why don't you add milk to your coffee? I am sure this tastes weird.

Girl: I love it and prefer it like this only. Any problem?

Boy: No, not at all.

Girl: Great.

They finished their coffee and looked for a taxi back home. The taxi soon arrived and the boy opened the door for his girl.

Girl: Please you go first. No formalities required.

Boy: I love it and prefer it like this only. Any problem?

Girl: Yes. I feel awkward.

Boy: That's your problem...not mine. Deal with it.

Dear Miss,
Today you are returning to your place after spending a good 7 days in my city. I hope your stay was pleasurable (barring the issues you had with my behaviour)? I don't know if you will ever return back to Delhi in the future but I sincerely hope the city will be more welcoming next time in case you visit again.
Looking at these 7 days from a higher perspective, I would simply say that it was an unusual pleasure to spend my worst days with you around and if I look at the past 2.5 months since we met, the best days were also spent with you (those days in Doon). I don't know if this holds any significance for you or not but, believe me when I say this, you are the most special person ...

Dear Miss,
There was a girl named Anna who brought home a street dog who was traumatized after his pup's death in an accident. He never barked and used to sit in one lone corner of her house. She was worried for his health so took upon herself to get him out of his trauma. She started giving an hour everyday to the dog, playing with him, giving him good food and helping him run freely. Within a few weeks, her efforts bore fruits and the once sloppy dog became an energetic and lively pet, started barking at strangers and wagged his tail with a glitter in his eyes each time he saw Anna.
One day, Anna's friends made fun of her pet dog and her relationship with her. They taunted her for getting ...

Today's story is about a couple who went out for a dinner. The girl lived across the mighty, and sometimes furious, river. They both had an ugly altercation at the dinner and the girl left mid-way. The boy, worried for her, left his dinner and requested her to let him drop across the river. She agreed as she didn't knew how to row a boat. The boy quickly untied a boat and asked her step in carefully. She was not willing to listen so jumped on hurriedly. The boat shook violently almost throwing the girl off the boat.

Boy: Hey, be careful please.
Girl: You don't have to worry about me. I can swim.

Dear Miss,
I am writing this letter as I head back home after spending few hours of bliss with you. I know you didn't like the movie but hey it was pleasure sitting next to you and that's all I came for. The natural positive vibes you exhibit (inspite of going through turbulent emotions inside) is just the thing I need. Inspite of feeling bad deep inside due to other people's negative energies, you always display a calm exterior (even though you may say plenty of expletives in a hush hush voice)! I don't know when we will meet next but get this, I will always remain by your side!

Child: Oh! What am I supposed to do now?
Man: Stop playing on the road and go back to where you came from.

The gallery was, as usual, thronged by several people - some were art enthusiasts while others were merely onlookers. Child: Sir (calling over the artist behind the popular pieces)! Please can you come over here once?

Painter had a hearty laugh!

Dear Miss,
There used to be a gardener who was asked to take care of a garden full of roses. He was thrilled to take up the job as roses are beautiful to look at and are pleasant fragrance-wise. As soon as he took up the job of taking care of the roses, he often started getting injured due to their thorns. People visiting the garden, meanwhile, continued to praise the roses as they grew well under the new gardener's care. Everyone except the gardener was happy. The gardener went to the owner of the garden and asked to release him of this duty.
The owner replied, "See, you are the only one who is intimately attached to the roses and are hugely responsible for their awesome growth. The people w...

Dear Miss,

Today I will not be philosophising about a certain aspect of your life or our life. This, however, is not deliberate. This was just one of those days when I was unable to think beyond a particular moment. And that moment happened last month - 24th April - when I left your hometown and a bagful of happy moments and memories with you. Moments which I treasure till date and will always in the years to come.

Those 3 (Yes, they were 3 for me even if you always called them as 2!) days were the best I had spent away from my home. The sweet moments and sweet nothings we exchanged are now deeply embedded in my conscience. But it was 24th which showed me how life can be away from you and ...

Next day his father took him to a museum. There was this one section in which the advancement of cycles was depicted. The child saw a tricycle, then a bicycle and then at the end, he saw the oldest one in the line - a unicycle. He was about to move to the other section when his father called him.

Father: Son, you asked me a question yesterday. Today I will let you know the answer.

Dear Miss,

Today's letter is not much on the usual literary/philosophical side but more on something which I have immensely treasured in the last 2 months - Your magical presence!

Looking back, I see it has just been 2 months of knowing and feeling you but honestly it feels like it has been a lifetime already.

From knowing each other's likes and dislikes
to knowing each other's ambitions.

From knowing each other's pain points
to feeling each other's smile and happiness.

From knowing each other's past
to imagining each other's future (including your irritating push on my marriage to a Punjabi girl!).

From planning a trip to each other...

Dear Miss,

In the midst of the dry and dusty terrains of Thar region, lay a quaint village. There were not more than 40 people living in it but still their living conditions were pitiable. The huts were made of mud and roofs were covered with straw to keep the interiors cool. An 8 yr-old boy, Ganga, lived in one of these huts and was the youngest member of the village. Rainfall was scarce in the Thar region due to which the village folks were always struggling to collect enough water for their daily needs. Ganga had this peculiar habit of collecting rain water and storing it in a big glass jar. Since rains were scarce, he barely managed to get a few drops in his jar. But he was determined in...

Dear Miss,
Have you a ever seen a tortoise? A 'beast' often teased and ridiculed for his lazy demeanour?
There is something about this lazy creature which we all can pick up. If you look closely, the lips of a tortoise are shaped in such a way it looks as if he is forever smiling. He had that face even when he was struggling to catch up with the rabbit in one of the most famous races of mankind! That teaches us to smile always whatever be the circumstances.
He carries a heavy shell on his back but still goes about his day as usual. This teaches us to never let the workload or pressure get over our mind and slow our body in response to it.
