The white room
My mind has many doors behind which all my thoughts are stored.
Most doors have no key holes and are free for anyone to enter.
Some doors are locked, and the access is limited to only those close to me.
And few doors may stay locked forever because I forgot where I put the key.
In the deepest, darkest corner of my mind,
Under the great ocean of miscellaneous floating thoughts,
Hidden in pitch black darkness, is an old and damaged corridor.
The place is off limits to one and all; even I don't willfully cross the border.
The doors in this realm of my mind are bound heavily and continuously.
But no matter how strongly I hold them closed; barred and chained,
She was not like you and me; she was a little extraordinary.
She was not a city girl; she lived in a village beyond the hill.
She was not a made up doll; she was all natural.
She was not a trendy girl; she wore plain clothes and a fake pearl.
She was not a graduate; she had schooling and life experiences that were first rate.
She was not a corporate worker; she was a village school teacher.
She was not a house rebel; she keenly read her Bible.
She was not judgemental; she spread love because it is fundamental.
She was not a bit rich; she made free food for those beside the ditch.
She was not into shopping; she made donations and offering.
She was not a party goer; she went to the chu...

My life has lost its hue,
Because of the fate that separated me from you.
In my black and white world, I'm feeling blue;
Numb and cold without you.
My heart has lost its peace,
Because your memories don't cease.
In this cruel reality, my mind finds no ease.
When will this pain appease?
My eyes have lost their light,
And nothing in the world seems right.
In my helplessness I cry and put up a feeble fight,
Against this madness that haunts me day and night.
The Social Mute
I always wonder about how people communicate with one another. How it is easy for people to bridge so many gaps with words. Not just with loved ones, but with absolute strangers, acquaintances, with anyone who they may cross paths with.
It all begins with a dialogue and then they may not be strangers anymore. New bonds get forged and relationships are born. Like after the rains the earth brings forth new sprouts on the ground, every dialogue with someone new opens up new bonds.
