“I love the rain”

I love the rain and how it falls. Under the rain I’ve disguised my pain harmonising teardrops with raindrops. Under the rain I’ve soaked my bubbled up emotions and wet my sorrows. In the midst of all these nonsense, I am the lonely lost star, shinning through the cloudy rainy skies. If god could see, if god could hear, if the appellations and hallelujahs serves its purpose, I may not sit in awe personifying characters. This being walks in shades of poetry and it’s poems are fuelled by pain and nothing close to love lights the match. This being is burning in a labelled eternal hardship of the day and begs for it to end but the god sees nothing and hears nothing
The increas...

Our stars don’t need shining

If I may, I will;
Visit the night
And unplug the promises
That still shine in nights
We no longer gaze

If I may, to say;
There are no days
That needs the sun
And conversations that needs
A bench under the lamppost

If I may, I wish;
Our hearts still speak
And our arms still cuddle
Our voices still soothing
And the eyes still loving

But, if I may, To remind;
In a distance we stand
And our ears don’t hear
Our hearts don’t speak
And I hate yelling...

“Cosmos”

Sitting in pensive
Swimming in the seas of reveries
The times that passed me by
Finding meanings to this poems
Asking if this life fits poetry

The days are dreary
The nights are weary
My beds are dry
I pray not the rosary

Call it adultery
I see not the imagery
I walk in no mystery
I witness not the ministry

Talk of the rivalry
The years in history
The woes of my ancestry
But posterity still cry

Tomorrows are blurry
Uncertainty places me in a category
In as much as sanity stills in the cemetery
I will choose hunting the scarce bilberry

Teach me the elementary
I will assemble my life’s accessory
I will walk past the bigotry
And the accusatory

These lines ar...

Serendipity
05/09/2018

Today I give up
I give up on all the odds
I give up on the dots that never connects
I give up on the hopes that always meet less
I give up on the bulb that will never shine
I give up on the ladders that climbs nothing
I give up on the roads that leads nowhere
I give up on the beings that wouldn’t be humans

For the comforting peace in my being
I’m letting go

Today I give up
I give up on all the odds
I give up on the voices that only slays
I give up on the thoughts that demeans
I give up on the sights that sees less
I give up on the people that only build fences
I give up on the smile that last for a second
I give up on the pain that kills

Life
19/07/2018

I am still on the road
I hardly notice the night
I am still on the streets
I hardly witness the day
A hundred knocked
I only have a chair

I am still on the road
I hardly notice the moon
I am still on the streets
I hardly witness the sun
From a distance I saw you
In distance I will be

I am still on the road
I hardly notice the light
I am still on the streets
I hardly witness the darkness
A hundred passed me by
I just watched

I am still on the road
I hardly notice the dream
I am still on the streets
I hardly witness the life
A dreamy night sings praises
The morning showcase struggle

I am still on the road
I am still on the streets

Some run not to escape
Some fall not to rise
Some talk not to be heard
Some sing not to muse
Some wake not to live
Some fly not to be seen
And
Others stand, to be known
Others learn, to apply
Others cry, to let go
The void in life fills its emptiness with Opposite

I am a bottle without cork
I run full and soil my body
My joy, the smiles, the times and moments
Runs down my chins
And I’m not hiding it anymore

“The Person they are"

The person he is
The person she is
The person that sits in his thoughts
The person that adds words to the little voices in her head
The persons that drains their lives through inks ending up on papers
They are the people they are reading about
...
Little did he know, he sits on the thoughts of others
He journeyed on the buses of logic through reasoning
Thrusting into the embers of relationships
With reasons to spark or dim their lights deciphering loneliness and company, tears and laughter, hate and love, sadness and happiness and the mystery...

You are the best at all you put your mind to
In your shoes you’ve walked perfectly
The flaws don’t demean your perfection
It reminds you of a god in a Demi
A human in bliss
From the sunrise through to the sunset
You walk in between
Long live the emperor

           "Utah with love"

If I could answer these questions my desperations and anxieties could turn into love poems poets can't conclude
songs singers voices will echo for ears to find soothing pleasures
But my love stories eschews from the people who are to narrate
On the Threshold of loves amusing fairytales
I find beautiful beginnings in the wonderland of friendship triggering the ever sensational thoughts of you and I
Caressing feelings into a yes mode
Waiting for you to howl out I love you because it is a full moon
As beautiful as these dreams are it wakens the mares of the nights stranding my sleep
I watch while they slip away
Dimming the shines of the stars they brought

Encapsulation

You are the moon
And it’s lonely but yet
Fulfilling
There are some
That will
Love you the more
When they are down
But will move once
They are up on their feet
Others will be there
In all lives trajectories
They will help you soar
And will be there on your landing
They are your stars
You need them both
One -to have a feel
Of the magic of life
And the other-who knows
Life’s magic lives within you
You are not naive

                “In my closet”

From a lie that opened the doors of other lies
I've graced all entrances
Other's with assurances
The promises that questioned my faithfulness and the entirety of my being
Love stares at me in disgust
I have...
I've learnt a great deal about love
I've learnt when to stand still and allow pain to pummel me and when to stand and fight
I've healed my battered heart with patches of reeds and thorns of roses
I've learnt how to lock and unlock my emotions in the presence of my frenemies
I'm not afraid,a she-tiger,and I've earned my stripes
I can be tender in a world,so tough and cruel
I'm sure I could face the bitter cold
I've tasted fear, my share of pain
The wasted...

   "The African Politicians"

From the slams I picked up,
On the rock I stand
Hail me, proclaim my wonders.
I am god!
Your demigod.
I spread my tentacles far and near.
I embrace its wealth not humans.
With me their existence exist.

‘’Our lands are rich
Our atmosphere is blessed
Why do we feel cursed”

I am the king!
I am your ruler!
You and you and you are my people,
My slaves.
The quencher of your thirst, shout my name.
The taker of your hunger, yell my name.
The director of a wayward flocks, without me home is where you stand,
Stagnant waters.
You smell awful or dry up without me.

“Our lands are rich
Our atmosphere is blessed
Why do we feel cursed”

In you, I am from.
Your cries were...

                   Poetry

In poetry I find my peace
I scribble my anger and smiles
With keystrokes of electronics
And through the inks of pens
I emancipate my soul from the
Tortures and joys this planet of a place
Exerts on me
***
In poetry I define me
My thoughts and the world
That surrounds me
It's beauties and other face a word
Will name ugly
***
In poetry I create my world
I live in words and artwork
Colours depicting rage and comfort
And words explaining it's worth
***
In poetry I find love
I love and respect myself more
And the soothing comprehension
My thoughts coherence with reality
***
In poetry I'm home
A home that cherishes and adores me
A home of words and art...

                "Soliloquy"

I've been screaming
Calling out to ears that could hear
Hearts that will skip a beat
If my absence is announced
Shouting out loud how derelict I am
But they are deaf
walking in this intrepid lifestyle
Covering up my loathe for this life
Life of intense loneliness
If only someone could listen
See through my eyes
There is this calm angel
With a broken wing
Calling out for help

            "Possessed"

If I could leave these shackles of a place
If I could escape the tethers
If I could walk out without looking back
If my goodbyes meant bye
A life lived in interstices
Balancing scopes and perceptions
A hole of life and death
Consuming to kill but energising to live
Craving for the wrong
But feels right in each moment
Reliving life and death on the space in-between parallel
Traveling from smirks to miffs in seconds
Receiving askance

With this wrings
I find joy
Defining love in agony and pain
Chills in my bones yet weakens me
Wish I could let go but it will be giving up on life
Until then I sit with my demons
And swim in my sins

              "Labels"

I've got an eye on a queen
But I'm just a pauper
A slogan I'm attributed
I walk with the chickens
But dream of the skies up above
A dream of fracture my family points out.

In the House of Commons
Where equality is preached
My position is labelled
My queen stands far ahead
But my chest can't contain my heart
And my throats can't sabotage my voice.

I am breaking out of this prison of labels
Then redefine freedom and explain equality
I will Catwalk my way through
Head held up high.

I speak
I am human
a pauper with a heart to love
And an eye just for you
I am a Prince without crown
An arm to wrestle through the bodyguards of royalties to meet you

"Mother"

At my grand entry into a world I only knew it's food
Confused as I mixed crying and talking
A voice continually shhh...
Calmly calling me "my baby"
It was mama
In her eyes was this fierce joy that calms the storm forgoing the pains that constantly interjected
"You are my world" the statement she guards with honour.

As I grow
In a world with a brand insurgent
I promote nothing but shame
The tears I attribute to her and the constant knee prayers at dawn just to intercede
Mama never neglects
Her tears, a blessing
it rebukes me in choosing right
And a reminder not to let those tears dry
Mama I will wipe your tears.

               “Known”

-little did she
know...
I built a world
And
She is the pillar
That holds it.

-little did she
See...
In her eyes
I witnessed the scanty
Scattered twinkling stars
Piecing through the nights
Begging for appreciation.

-if my world is
Seen
-if my world is
Known

She would have lived
In a world of her own
Commanding and summoning
A goddess
Creating desires
And aspirations.

-little did she
Hear...
I whispered the melodies
Of love
But she heard otherwise.

-If my heart is
Seen
-If my thoughts are
Shown
My intention would lay bare.

               “GOODBYE"

Bae I broke your heart and am sorry
I seriously gave it a thought. I realised I shouldn't have.
We know ourselves too well to let go of our beautiful future.

—darling wait

There you go again, the selfish you speaking. making garden in forests
Talking of plantations when all you have is a backyard
You puffed when saying we know ourselves
If I may ask, which I will ask anyway how well do you know me?
Yes you know my name you know my family but the ungrateful you forgot to learn my personality so sit in my class let me school you

First I am the best of the best yet your parallel mind rated me worse. Selfishness and pride. Would you like me to explain; I am the ...

                      Single

Love sits on the traveling seat of definitions
In each generation its stop is made and onboard sits other definitions waiting to alight at the next generational bus stop
Our present generation harbours "overrated".

I sit on this rooftops waiting for a soul who wouldn't complain about the weather
A soul who wouldn't question my kindness and deface my soul
A soul who will admire my smiles and see my pain
A soul who will see me ahead of technology and papers
A soul who equally sits on the ledge of the quarters of our generation.

I might be seeking the unseekable
Single I am
A stranger in the present days
A legend of old love.

           "Confessions"

I am cheating
Cheating on souls
I've unleash the character
An untamed being
Captured and tamely prison
Years back.

The devil in me
Devouring souls
preying on minds
And a fluke on emotions
Draining the hopes out of them
creating reoccurring loops of smirks
Making flukes seem like blessings.

With a spark of grace in their eyes
I lay them in my bed
Expose my cowardice
But love blindfolds
As I satisfy my lust.

I am tired
You are miffed
Please!! grant me absolution
I want to find relevance to
I love you... again

                "My vicinity"

I live in a developing town
Mere but huge
A town of newly built houses
Trying to find it roots
To be called home
Walls erected high
And metals electrified
walk pass a house twice
Then you become their suspect
The one they would love to question

The life we live now
Bridges are burnt
Walls are higher
And the dining tables are becoming smaller

In a storey building
My bed rest
Where my today calls home
But!
I can only admire
what's above
Because what's
underneath
Judges my glance
A town where my hi!
Is responded by
What do you want?

The life we live now
Bridges are burnt
Walls are higher
And the dining tables are becoming smaller

             BEFORE THIS...
Before they turned us against them
We were kids that owned an unadulterated smile and an unstained Being.

Before this we were kids
Faultless and unquestioned
Our smiles melted ice
And our tears quenched fire.

Before this we were kids
Loved and cared for
Our character unstained
And our thoughts were that of pleasant tomorrows.

Before this...
We were humans
That saw the good in others.

          SYRIAN CHILDREN

Crime has no face
It lives in no country
It wears no political colour
It is not religion
It has no colour
And it cares not for humanity
If you care know these.

The greed of men wields power to guns and feels not the power in their voices
The anger in hearts sees no light and never welcomes sunrise
The hiding places are fortresses to the evil minds
The ones who seeks vengeance in this life and questions not the grounds they stand
The escape roots— let us fill the loopholes the gods created
Hide behind religion and control the weakest of minds.

The wars of the old are tomorrows of forlorn hopes for the kids
The kings of tomorrows becomes the slaves of today...

                   “FREE”

I want to be free;
Free like the eagle.
Soar the skies up up above
At my own pace with strong wings.
...
I want to be free;
Free like the housefly.
Fly in all directions and angles with a teaser, following all my movements
Teasingly and irritatingly hovering around other beings.
...
I want to be free ;
Free like the air.
Penetrating and circulating through and in the tiniest of holes,
Even in my pernicious state I circulate freely.
...
I want to be free;
Free like time.
Ticking and creating lasting moments and memories.
Laughing about jokes made in my name.
Time and tide waits for none.

Free like an erection.

                 “Baby”

My world in simple sentence
Why won't I cry!
Why won't I smile! or yet even laugh.
Do I know the meaning of them all.
Who cares to find.
Ignore; misery will visit.
My thoughts and actions are captured and expressed.
I am uneasily determined,
But precisely defined.
I am a baby!
I cry, I sleep.
I wake, I cry.
I am clinically adored and generally  cherished.
Tactically and emotionally  nurtured into adulthood.
A shaky start my lifetime becomes a crime society hunt always.

“FADE”

Fade! faded!!
That beauty in places,
Our favourite spot.
Found the mystery behind memories,
They can never be lived but made.
On the greater tide of memory and I sure see myself making a surfing record.
You have engulfed me and all I can do is cry.
These thoughts, these promises we shared stricken me. It's lightening!.
The light of the days broadcast our shadows while the darkness waited patiently.
I guess no convincing is needed.
I know to you I'm the fool.
I am never a need just a want.
In our spot, there is no our.
Dust in the hands of the wind,
Tell me my fate
Fade! fade!! faded!!!
There goes the love we once shared,
Now on the wailing wheels of memory.
