|Neon lights and Saturday nights. Books, a pen and a bottle of ink. Bibliophile and a nerd personified.|
It is all about one more.
One more puff of that dead end cigarette
One more kiss to his forehead
One more climb to reach the peak
One more step towards end of the road.
Somedays you need to be bigger than one.
We aren't made for this world,
So let's walk to the edge of the land
And vanish in the misty clouds
For I know we won't survive
The deep dark waters of this world.
We were birds of the night sky,
When the city went to sleep,
We spread our wings and open eyes to new light.
From dawn till dusk,
The sky was our home.
No above, no below
Just true freedom.
She was suddenly psychedelic,
All holographic and lustrous.
Love was her drug,
But she was high on the soulful gazes.
The world was colorful but his eyes were the only home she had.
Even if it is the darkest night.
Or the road is steeper than before.
Even, when all you have are bad hair days, chipped nails and broken skin.
Even though your heart is breaking or your mind is numb.
You will survive, glow and shimmer.
Rains were merciless, water neck deep on the streets. People wading through, like fish without gills. Shrubs flying by, trees rocking the ground, puddle like ponds.
All the people reading this I hope you run home, stay safe and keep warm. All the love.
We are not the clothes we wear,
And we are not the perception of others.
We are not our mistakes,
And we are not the silly tears.
We are the songs we sing,
And the poems we read.
We are the last minute inspiration And the paints we smear.
We are not blank canvases, it's just the shades we need are still a work in progress.
So there might not be rainbows everyday but that doesn't demand you getting off your unicorn.
Wear that crown high up, let it slip but know crown or not,
you still rule your kingdom.
Baby steps everyday, because Rome wasn't built in a day.
She was a bomb of colors,
A riot of glow in the dark.
She wasn't of this world
Where grey was night and day.
She set out to paint the world,
But instead she turned grey.
The day was glowing embers,
The night was just another timber.
We slept at the dying sun and
Bid adieu to the falling stars.
We were made of stardust and we perished among the glowing embers.
I have been to unknown towns and met nameless people. I remember them from their warmth and their words. And then I woke up to realise that this happens only in my dreams.
Made of stardust,
Lost in the hustle bustle of normalcy.
Maybe we are just lone stars,
Searching for our galaxies
Don't give up so easy.
It took a lot of rubs to make fire from stones.
Your fire is just around the corner.
I looked up to the heavens and asked for a little mercy.
They sent me tougher times and more tears.
Now my bruised feet don't pain anymore.
So my mercy came, but I don't need it anymore.
