Prince and Overdosing
Today, April 21, 2016, in the morning hours , the artist formerly known as Prince passed away.
It was believed that he had been suffering from the flu.
This evening, it has been reported that he had overdosed 6 days ago and received a shot of Narcon to be revived at a hospital.
Six days later, he was dead.
The loss of this artist is a big one for us all.
The new information that drugs played a part in this loss, begs the question once again.
When and how do we make this stop?
We at Talkhouse, where we are focused on rethinking addiction, would love to hear your thoughts.
Enough of the loss.

Have you ever seen a Nike commercial that celebrates people in recovery?
Have you ever seen a Coke ad that supports people struggling with addiction?
In the U.S., at least, no brands have ever gotten behind any sort of a campaign to support people struggling with addiction or in recovery.
Why do you think that is?
Do you think life would change for people battling addiction and in recovery if a well known and very popular brand was willing to support this community?
Love to hear your thoughts lettrs community. Send us a lettr. In private or for the fridge.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this. If you want to talk the TalkHouse community directly please tag your lettr with the word "addiction" or as always feel free to write to "TalkHouse" privately.
Welcome to Talkhouse,
This space is dedicated to addiction. How addiction affects addicts, their friends, family, the larger community and ways to possibly begin to rethink it and perhaps help one another. We believe that most everyone is touched by addiction either directly or by extension.
We don’t claim to know the answers, but we do believe in building communities that support the conversation as a way to move it forward and maybe help to shift some lives in the process.
This channel is about sharing your stories. It is also a conversation to tap into, hold onto, aspire to, take with you, and share with those that might need it.
